DJ Taylor is a biographer, critic, novelist and short story writer based in Norwich. He's been twice longlisted for the Man Booker prize, while his biography of George Orwell won the 2003 Whitbread biography prize. His wickedly witty literary parodies appear regularly in Private Eye. An obsession with music gave rise to the 2018 novel 'Rock and Roll Is Life', about a fictional rock band. A sequel will appear in mid-2023.
